ACtive Protective 

Active Protective was founded on the simple belief that hip fractures among older adults, and their devastating consequences, could be prevented through the use of wearable technology.  Active Protective has developed a smart belt that deploys wearable airbags in the event of a fall. The belt detects a fall in progress with great accuracy and deploys airbags over the hips to attenuate the impact of the fall.  Beyond just hip protection, the smart belt can also help older adults remain/regain confidence and independence by promoting safe mobility.  

CareLinx - Acquired by Generali Global Assistance

CareLinx is a nationwide professional caregiver marketplace, empowering families to easily find, hire, manage and pay licensed caregivers online. Our platform has more than 200,000 caregivers across the country.  The CareLinx platform helps families and caregivers easily manage all the administrative tasks of their caregiving needs, including scheduling, time tracking, care coordination and payroll processing. CareLinx families save money and CareLinx caregivers earn considerably higher wages than working through franchise agencies.  All CareLinx caregivers hired by families are background checked and covered with $4 million in professional liability insurance. CareLinx was acquired by Generali Global Assistance in September 2017.

Caremerge is a growth stage company that provides a suite of easy-to-use software solutions (web and mobile) to support family, resident and staff engagement in senior living. Specific modules include family engagement, community engagement, calendar central and care coordination CareMerge was founded by Asif Khan, a former global product manager at GE Heathcare.

CarePort Health - ACquired by Allscripts

CarePort Health improves post-acute outcomes by providing solutions to guide patients to high-quality providers upon discharge and to track patients – and results – in real-time across the continuum. The end-to-end platform bridges acute and post-acute EHRs, providing visibility into the care that patients receive across post-acute settings so that all providers can efficiently and effectively coordinate patient care. CarePort Health was acquired by Allscripts in October 2016.

True Link Financial 

True Link, a Y Combinator alum, is a financial services firm that offers investment accounts and debit Proprietary & Confidential 3 cards customized for seniors. True Link provides diversified financial services for families planning for the future and recognizes that investment decisions, insurance, tax planning, benefits eligibility, care expenses, and longevity become the dominant questions in one’s financial life as they age. What Amex has done for business travelers, and TIAA for teachers, True Link is aspiring to do for the largest and wealthiest demographic group in history, the aging boomers

Vynca 

Vynca, which came out of the Stanford BioDesign program, is a commercial stage SAAS company that provides an Advance Care Planning software solution. Vynca’s cloud-based solution that connects the healthcare and patients’ ecosystems to (1) optimize the patient and family experience (2) ensure access to accurate documentation across the ecosystem and (3) reduce end of life care costs in alignment with patient wishes.

Wellthy 

Wellthy is a care concierge that helps manage healthcare for families with sick and aging loved ones. Families are assigned a dedicated Care Coordinator (think personal healthcare assistant) who creates a plan and gets tasks done, all through a modern online experience. Tasks include: scheduling appointments, refilling prescriptions, handling prior authorizations, sourcing and vetting the right in-home aide, handling a move into a care facility, contesting insurance bills, and much more. Woundrounds
